CARA Enterprise Platform Adoption within Manufacturing grows as one of the world’s largest Automotive Companies migrates from Documentum
LONDON – 14th August 2026 – Generis, the creator of the CARA Enterprise Platform, today announced that a top 3 global automotive manufacturer, with 400,000 users worldwide, has selected CARA as its global electronic document management system (eDMS), replacing legacy content management technology as part of a broader digital transformation.
The initial use cases for CARA include global Policy Management and HR functions, invoice creation from data, and general enterprise content management. CARA will be seamlessly integrated with the organisation’s wider enterprise technology estate, including SAP, for business continuity and minimal disruption. The initial scope of the project will see CARA managing over 300 million documents.
For many years, the organisation had been dependent on a legacy content management system with numerous costly, complex integrations and customisations. Now, the organisation will benefit from CARA’s extensive configuration capabilities, providing the flexibility needed without bespoke system customisation.
Key benefits include:
• A single, scalable eDMS supporting hundreds of thousands of users worldwide
• Standard REST API integration across multiple systems, replacing custom-built connections
• CARA configurations to replace existing hard-coded customisations
• Flexible hosting options that fit the organisation’s existing cloud strategy
• Ability to manage a wide range of use cases from HR through invoicing to Policies and general EDMS
The organisation chose CARA for its fast and user-friendly interface, as well as its configurability, ease of integration, and ability to scale across users, data and storage as the deployment grows.
“It’s a great example of how CARA can provide business critical content and data management for global organisations at immense scales,” said Max Kelleher, CEO of Generis. “The benefits will come from greater user satisfaction and thus adoption, as well as the ability to keep costs down with configuration vs customization. That’s exactly the flexibility large, complex enterprises need as their priorities evolve.”
