Ameritas Boost Digital Transformation Initiatives with Generis’ CARA Platform

15th August – London, England/ Lincoln, Nebraska – Generis, creator of the cloud data, content and business process management platform CARA™, announced that Ameritas will upgrade from Documentum-based CARA v.3 to the CARA Enterprise Cloud Platform to manage data and documents in a centralised system.

Since 2017, Ameritas has been using CARA v.3 with Documentum as their internal CRM, case management, and document management system. This upgrade will allow them streamline processes with the flexibility required for both their head office and field teams.

‘CARA offers a flexible platform to make our employees’ work easier, but also we genuinely enjoy working with their team. They understand our challenges and offer coherent guidance with ongoing support,” said Jeff Larson, Manager, Development and Integration, at Ameritas.

Ameritas selected Generis and the CARA Enterprise Cloud Platform as part of their digital transformation initiative which will update the way they manage business critical process to bring better service to their customers.

As a single, centralised system, CARA offered a gateway to new possibilities in information management. Choosing to move to AWS Cloud with CARA enables greater connectivity with Ameritas’ field agents and independent brokers as they can directly access all information with ease. There are also plans to extend this into a portal where customers can have direct access to their documentation. One of the key benefits of CARA is the potential for scalability, with over one billion documents Ameritas needed a system which would support them today and their future growth.

The architecture of CARA is favourable to integration across the whole ecosystem, it’s not just a point solution but can be the foundation of companywide workflows. The flexibility of CARA means that both the developers and the customer service representatives enjoy working with it. From a technical standpoint, the ease of configuration is a huge benefit leading to less change management as users are already familiar with the system. Forms can be customised to their specific use case in a matter of minutes. Moving to the CARA platform also allows Ameritas to use structured data management to ensure correct and accurate information is available for re-use throughout their processes.

CARA also emerged as the more cost-effective solution as it consolidates disparate systems. Investing in CARA allows Ameritas to drive overall cost avoidance in the future and leave space for investment in other areas to better meet the needs of their customers.

“We’re very excited to extend our relationship with Ameritas and support their digital transformation initiative. At Generis, we are always happy to collaborate with other forward-thinking, innovative companies. The move from CARA v3 to the CARA Enterprise Cloud Platform will enable Ameritas to streamline their workflows and drive efficiency across all their departments. We look forward to a long and successful partnership,” added Max Kelleher, CEO of Generis.
